The Pennsylvania State Military Reserve is a non-profit benevolent, federally (IRS) recognized 501(c)(3) organization. Created for the protection and well being of Pennsylvanians, this opportunity is for the citizen-soldier; proud, serving, and dedicated to community and state. Training is provided in communications, CPR/First Aid, search & rescue, crowd control, and Community Emergency Response Training. No military obligation is required and resignation is at your discretion. Many positions are available. Opportunities, with qualifications, span from advisers & enlisted, up to direct appointments as commissioned officers. Eligible candidates are between 18-65 years, male or female, with or without prior military service.
