The Oath Keepers
Oath Keepers is a non-partisan association of current and formerly serving military, police, and first responders, who pledge to fulfill the oath all military and police take to “defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic.” That oath, mandated by Article VI of the Constitution itself, is to the Constitution, not to the politicians, and Oath Keepers declare that they will not obey unconstitutional orders, such as orders to disarm the American people, to conduct warrantless searches, or to detain Americans as “enemy combatants” in violation of their ancient right to jury trial.…more

The militia of the Commonwealth of Virginia shall consist of all able-bodied citizens of this Commonwealth and all other able-bodied persons resident in this Commonwealth who have declared their intention to become citizens of the United States, who are at least sixteen years of age and, except as hereinafter provided, not more than fifty-five years of age. The militia shall be divided into four classes, the National Guard, which includes the Army National Guard and the Air National Guard, the Virginia State Defense Force, the naval militia, and the unorganized militia.…more

Virginia Citizens Militia
The Viginia Militia is a organization authorized by the Constitution of Virginia. Many of our nations founding fathers were officers in the Virginia Militia. George Washington was appointed a Major in the Militia over 250 years ago in 1752. Thomas Jefferson, James Monroe, John Tyler, Patrick Henry, Meriwether Lewis and William Clark of the famed Lewis and Clark expedition were all members of the Virginia Militia. In fact, all male citizens between ages 16 and 45 were considered to be members of the Militia and were expected to be able to muster on short notice with necessary arms and equipment to defend the Commonwealth.…more
